The Community Drug Court Support Foundation  is a non-profit entity, created by citizens of Thurston County who believe in the Drug Court Program which

 

            Gives participants an opportunity to change . . .

 

            Gives participants hope . . .

 

            Helps restore dignity . . .

The Thurston County Drug/DUI Court Programs have had a positive impact on the Criminal Justice system and on the taxpaying citizens in our community. They provide close supervision of drug using felony offenders. These Programs are more cost effective than jail/prison incarceration. They reduce medical and other public assistance costs, lower criminal recidivism rates, reunite families, reduce crime victimization and  improve public health and safety in our community.

The Programs are largely dependent on County and State funding, and various private and federal grant monies. The Foundation, recognizes the value of these Drug Court Programs to the community, and actively works to educate the public about their importance to citizens of today and of the future.

 

Having a non-profit organization supporting a public agency is unique. The Thurston County Community Drug Court Support Foundation was created to solicit community support in combating the drug and alcohol abuse problems in Thurston County. Foundation members believe graduates of the program will impact society for many years and is committed to seeing the Program continue.
